Pilcrowa (“we”) values the privacy of the data you share while using this service. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
Account information (email, name), the content you create, documents you upload, and configuration for the sites you connect.
How we use data
Your data is used only to provide the service (content generation, publishing, export). Text may be sent to third-party AI providers for content generation.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card number is never transmitted to us and is not stored on our systems; we hold only transaction metadata (amount, currency, payment status, period, invoice number, and details such as the card brand and last four digits). Stripe may collect device and IP data for fraud prevention.
Payment and invoice data may be processed on servers in Canada and the United States where the provider operates. Tax and accounting law requires invoice records to be retained for at least 6 years; deletion requests cannot be met for those records during that period — your other data is deleted on request.
